two art projects born after a heartbreak

May 30, 2016

We've all been through some sort of heartbreak but these two women instead of eating ice cream in their PJ's turned this emotion into very cool art projects.

Eat Your Heart Out

Take Care of Yourself

¡Aplausos! La carta completa la encuentran aquí

Last year I saw this exhibition by french artist Sophie Calle at Museo Tamayo in Mexico City and fell in love with it. This is the story: one day Sophie received a break up letter and the last line said “take care of yourself“, to which she said: “what the heck does that even mean!?“ and gave the letter to 107 female artists to analize, understand and interpret it for her. This project eventually became a book and an exhibition that has traveled around the world. Which is funny is this indeed became a way of taking care of herself. Applause to her! The full letter is available here.
